Death makes us realize the importance of life. When we are close to dying, we remember everything that happened in our life. All the things that happened flashes before our eyes. Death makes us realize that our lives are not endless, that maybe tommorrow, we can't experience the things that happened to us today. We take for granted the things that we seem to think of as endless. Only when it is close to the end that we see its importance. Maybe we need a taste of death, the taste of nothingness to make us appreciate our life and the things around us

I want to say that life is wonderful, that life is happy and that everyday would be the start of something good. But, hell, you'd only be lying to yourself. Life is depressing. Life is sad. Everyday you wake up feeling nothing but emptiness and worthlessness inside. Then, you start to wonder what is our purpose here. Is there or isn't there something for us to live for. Then you come to the thought of life having no meaning. Others want to comfort you telling you to have faith, to believe in divine intervention or something. Faith tells you to believe. Faith tells you to hope. Faith tells you to hang in there just for a little longer. But reason tells you that you should not hope anymore. Reason tells you that resistance is useless and will only prolong the agony. Reason tells you that no matter what you do, the same thing will happen in the end. You will fail.
